Brett worked for Northwestern Mutual this summer.  His interview process consisted of 3 interviews and two projects and a presentation to the college director were required.  In addition, there were several tests including a state licensing exam.  Michael’s daily tasks included enhancing his network of clients and managing their information to make his selling process more efficient.  During training, lunch was provided as well as a BBQ at the managing partner’s house.

The atmosphere was very competitive, which Brett enjoyed.  Also, it was a very professional environment (suit and tie required every day).  One great aspect he liked was being able to make his own schedule (other than mandatory meetings or events).

Brett would recommend this company to others and notes that if you like sales and mostly selling Whole life and term insurance than you would enjoy this internship.  If you are not a people person or shy, it might not be for you.
