Jacquelyn interned with Trion this past summer where she worked very closely with Zibby Everett.  Her daily tasks included putting together RFPs, set-up renewal exhibits, and spreadsheet quotes received from various carriers.  She also performed volume calculations and census data manipulation.  Jacquelyn’s RMI classes proved very useful as she understood the concept of PPO, POS, HMO, HDHP, and CHP plans when comparing plan alternatives for medical renewals.

Because of recent mergers and acquisitions among Trion’s clients, Jacquelyn was given the special assignment to collect benefit information on a few of these companies to put together side-by-side comparisons, in order to help the companies to decide whether it be best to continue offering separate benefits to their subsidiaries or place them into the parent company’s benefits.

In addition to work assignments, Jacquelyn was able to attend several lunch and learns on topics such as wellness programs and prescription drug benefits, an insurance exchange forum, happy hours with carriers like Cigna and Aetna, and three Phillies games.  She appreciated the positive atmosphere at Trion and was able to work with great employees that were both helpful and easy to approach.  Jacquelyn would certainly recommend the company to other students.
