Provide a General Description of the Internship. Include daily tasks completed, the company and its employees, and any other information.
I worked a 40 hr week from 8:00 am until 4:30 with a 30 minute lunch. I was responsible for assisting my manager (Senior Consultant) and other Associate Consultants with various tasks associated to their clients.

Did you have a mentor?

If so, how did he/she help you during your internship?

Did you feel your RMI/AS classes better prepared you for the internship?
Yes. Compared to the other interns that weren't AS/RMI majors we were at an advantage of understanding the basic concepts and terms, while others were challenged with the task of learning those concepts.

Interviewing/Hiring Process Comments:
There was an on campus interview, then a interview at the office. The interview at the office was for about an hour and I met my potential managers. The questions were very straight-forward, which a strong focus on personalty based questions.

Were you assigned any special projects? If so please describe.
I was assigned to develop a template for RFPs (Request for Proposal) for the Account team so there would be a uniform document that all consultants would use to send to vendors. I also conducted a benchmark analysis for a client's employee contribution rates. I had the opportunity to go to client meetings.

What were the supplemental benefits besides the pay? (Internship Lunches, Housing, Sports Games, Happy Hours, etc.)
Yes. The company sponsored a networking event for the interns at a Phillies game as well as a center-city scavenger hunt in Philly.

Describe the company's internship program(atmosphere, work load, work, housing, outside work activities, etc.).
The atmosphere was very welcoming and encouraging. I felt like I could ask any question I had and not feel ridiculed for asking. The employees I interacted with wanted me to learn as much as possible of the business. At the end of the internship all interns are required to give intern presentations on a subject of their choice.

Was the internship what you expected after the interviewing/hiring process?

Were you provided time off besides the weekend?

If you had to relocate, describe the process of adapting to a new city.
I had to relocate to South Jersey for the summer and had a pleasant experience. During my internship, I joined a local gym and visited various restaurants. Overall, I had a great time.
