Provide a General Description of the Internship. Include daily tasks completed, the company and its employees, and any other information.
Spent a lot of time creating an excel tool used to compare rates for members of the Health Insurance Fund (HIF) compared to rates of the state. Attended over 20 client meetings. Created other excel spreadsheets for my team. I usually worked 8-4:00 or 9-5:30

Did you have a mentor?

If so, how did he/she help you during your internship?
Yes, I had two. They both taught me a lot about their experiences in the industry and how to reach my goals. They knew I wanted to be in a client facing role and made sure to allow me to attend as many meetings as possible.

Did you feel your RMI/AS classes better prepared you for the internship?
Yes, I knew a lot about benefits going into my internship. It made a lot of the work easier because I had learned a lot about the different topics we dealt with

Interviewing/Hiring Process Comments:
Interview at the intern reception. Following the reception, I had one interview at Temple. Received an email a few days later from the recruiter to schedule a day to interview at Conner Strong in Marlton. Two interviews with consultants. I received an offer 5 days after the final round of interviews.

Were you assigned any special projects? If so please describe.
I created an excel tool to compare HIF rates to NJ Health Benefits Plan rates. The HIF will use this for years to come in order to compare their position to the competition.

What were the supplemental benefits besides the pay? (Internship Lunches, Housing, Sports Games, Happy Hours, etc.)
Happy hour after the scavenger hunt. Bagels and benefits every Thursday, we had breakfast and talked about the benefits operations. Lunch and learns every week with different companies. All of the interns attended a Phillies game. Additionally, received lunches at some meetings. I had welcome and going away lunches with my team

Describe the company's internship program(atmosphere, work load, work, housing, outside work activities, etc.).
All of the employees, not only those on my team, were very friendly and willing to help. A lot of people took the time to meet me and get to know me. We had business etiquette training and personality testing in center city. Additionally, we did a scavenger hunt with all of the interns. I had a good workload.

Was the internship what you expected after the interviewing/hiring process?

Were you provided time off besides the weekend?
I was allowed to take days off, if I needed them. Additionally, was allowed to leave early some days if I had class. I was given 3 2pm dismissals, where I received a full days pa

If you had to relocate, describe the process of adapting to a new city.
