Independent Insurance Agents of Philadelphia & Suburbs Scholarship

Sigma Chapter is proud to anounce that six members have been awarded the Independent Insurance Agents of Philadelphia & Suburbs Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to students who have demonstrated academic achievement and have financial need. The scholarship recipients are:

Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters Scholarship

Funding for the scholarship comes from the local insurance community and the chapter membership. The scholarships are awarded after a throough evaluation of the candidates, and are based solely on academic excellence. Applicants must be pursuing their education at an accredited two or four year college or university on a full time basis in an associate or bacheler degree program. This prestigious scholarship was awarded to the following students:

Angus Robinson Jr. Memorial Foundation Scholarship

The Sigma Chapter is proud to announce that five members received the nationally awarded Angus Robinson, Jr. Memorial Foundation Scholarship.  The award is in the memory of Mr. Robinson, who was a leader in the reinsurance industry for close to 20 years.  “The Angus” is given to students who display strong academic success, involvement in extracurricular activities, and who aspire towards a career in the Insurance or Reinsurance industry.
