District Attorney


R. Seth Williams has served as the District Attorney of the City of Philadelphia since 2010, after an historic election in 2009 where he received more than 75% of the vote.

Prior to becoming district attorney, Mr. Williams served as an Assistant District Attorney for 10 years. In 2005, he was appointed Inspector General of the City of Philadelphia and served the city until 2008 when he left the office to join the law firm of Stradley, Ronon, Stevens & Young.

The District Attorney is also an adjunct professor at Villanova and Temple law schools, a major in the Judge Advocate General Corps of the United States Army Reserve and sits on several Philadelphia-area boards.

Seth lives in West Philadelphia and of his many accomplishments, he is proudest of his daughters-Alyssia, Taylor and Hope.
